Womens NTS

Women's NTS
The Womens National Touch Series gives clubs the opportunity to compete in single gender competition.

There are distinct formats for Divisions 1 and 2 (aka the elite level) and Divisions 3 and 4 (more suitable for teams in the earlier stages of their development). All divisions bring teams together who are more evenly matched, making for more competitive action.

The Mens & Womens National Touch Series played to a thrilling conclusion at Old Leamingtonians RFC

In the Finals to decide the overall Champions,  it was experience and guile that triumphed over youth and speed, with both London Scorpions' Mens and Womens teams full of internationals and World Cup medallists taking the spoils over Nottingham Hoods' teams featuring the next generation of England stars, including a core of U18 internationals. In the men's division Scorpions were too much for Hoods, swatting them aside 12-5, whilst over in the Women's division Hoods' women ran Scorpions a little closer, going down 3-6 in the end.

In Division 2 Galaxy Mens took the spoils with a narrow 8-7 win over Manchester Foxes, and over in the Women's Final it was Invicta who beat Thames Valley Vikings to take the silverware

On the Sunday it was the turn of Division 3 teams to take the field, and the tournament welcomed another brand new team, Stratford-upon-Avon Women.

The Mens' competition was won by NQ Rebels over Galaxy South West in the final, with the Women's title being taken by the youthful Wolves team over an equally young Chester Cheetahs.

The hugely welcoming Old Leamingtonians RFC will once again be the hosts for the first round of the Mixed NTS taking place on 14 and 15 June.
