Junior Touch Cup Series 2026 information
With an increasing number of junior and youth players taking up the sport of Touch, Summer 2026 sees the return of the popular Junior Touch Cup Series in partnership with England Touch.
The first National Junior Touch Cup was held in 2024, to provide a level of competition for young players below the ETA Junior Nationals. Summer 2025 saw 25 teams enter the National Junior Touch Cup and the launch of a Junior Touch Cup ‘North’ event. Summer 2026 will see the introduction of the Junior Touch Cup ‘South’ in London.
Touch Cup events are to allow young players from Touch Clubs, Rugby Clubs and groups of friends to play in a competitive but friendly environment with and against their peers. Players are encouraged to play in a variety of positions and learn the values of Touch through competition.
The events are designed to be as inclusive as possible, with U12, U14 and U17 Boys, Girls and Mixed Divisions. There are also opportunities for individual players to join teams or be part of ‘Barbarians’ teams*. Supported by England Touch referees who are encouraged to help players understand the rules of the game.
The Junior Touch Cup events tap-off with the Junior Touch Cup ‘South’ to be held at KCS Old Boys RFC in London on Sunday, June 7. This is the first junior Touch Club specific event to be held in London for both boys and girls and will be a great opportunity for teams across London and South to come together and play together. KCS OBs RFC has great pitches, a great clubhouse with ample parking.
The second Junior Touch Cup ‘North’ will be on Saturday, June 20, at Sandal RFC, Wakefield. This new venue boasts four Touch fields, and is easily accessible from both the M1 and M62. We are looking forward to welcoming teams from across the North of England, and travelling teams.
The flagship junior club event of the Summer is the third National Junior Touch Cup, to be held on Saturday, July 11, at the brilliant Old Leamingtonians RFC, Leamington Spa. With up to eight Touch fields, a great clubhouse and camping options, this event has quickly become a must for any Junior Touch team.
