Largest ever England squad announced for 2024 Touch World Cup
England Touch has today announced the 13 teams which will be competing at the 2024 Touch World Cup in Nottingham, the largest squad ever assembled by the Association for an international event.
England is one of just two nations to be entering into every category within the Touch World Cup, along with Australia, with the Women’s 40, Men’s 50 and Men’s 55 teams participating at this level for the first time.
In all there are 208 players selected, ranging in age from 17 up to 63 years of age, who will be representing 56 clubs as far afield as Exeter, Wigan, Newcastle and Canterbury, along with some players who are travelling from overseas to wear the national shirt. In addition a further 51 non-travelling reserves will continue to train with the teams in their final preparation camps in June and July.
The playing groups are supported by a team-behind-the-team of 94 coaches, team managers, strength and conditioning coaches, medical/physiotherapists, performance psychologists and performance analysts.

All of the players have invested considerable time and money into representing their country at what will be the biggest Touch World Cup ever, and the first to be held here in England, and they have our thanks for their commitment and congratulations for their selection.
A massive thank you to all of the families and friends who have enabled players to get to this point, and we look forward to welcoming you all to Nottingham’s Highfields and Riverside Sports Complexes between July 15th and 21st!
Entry into the venue will be free, although car parking will incur a charge at both venues, and all are welcome.
Touch World Cup 2024 sees 189 teams from 39 nations from as far afield as New Zealand, China, Chile and Canada come to the East Midlands, with around 4,000 players, referees, coaches and support staff making this one of the biggest international competitive sporting events to take place in England.
