England Touch Schools Events - May 2023
Since the England Touch Association (ETA) announced that we would be delivering a schools event for the Independent Schools Association (ISA) on Friday May 12th at Maidenhead Rugby Club, we have since received a number of enquiries from other schools asking if they could join the event.
We have agreed with ISA to extend the invite to ALL schools, ie independent and state schools!
In addition to this, we are also supporting a schools event in South West London on Monday, May 15th, which all schools are also invited to attend.
We are aware that both of these events are in the south of England and will look to support schools events elsewhere in the country throughout the Spring/Summer, such as if a group of schools seek to have Touch Rugby included in a regional School Games event.
There will also be a schools legacy event in Nottingham this summer in association with the International Youth Atlantic Cup (20-23 July), where England will be competing against teams from Europe, the Middle East, Americas, Africa and Asia in 15s, 18s and 20s Divisions. These festivals will be attended by coaches identifying players with potential to take the next steps towards possibly representing England in future international events!
If you would like your school to participate in either May event, please complete an expression of interest form by CLICKING HERE by March 3rd, 2023.
There will be a fee (per team per event) to assist towards running costs:
Touch Rugby is 6-a-side and Mixed divisions will be three boys and three girls on the pitch at any time but schools can have up to 12 players per team, as rolling substitutions are permitted in Touch Rugby.
Rules will be as per Super6 for Schools Festivals, which can be seen in this video.
The above videos were filmed in conjunction with In2Touch Thames Valley Kids Camps, and with consent of parents
