Galaxy seeking Development NTS clean sweep
Galaxy London head to Banbury on Sunday searching for an elusive clean sweep of Cup titles in the 2022 Development National Touch Series.
Galaxy’s Cup wins in Banbury (Round 1) and Burton (Round 2) have put them on 92 league points, eight ahead of London Eagles and Norwich Rebels, both on 84.
Galaxy opens up the live stream at 10am with their match against Horsham, with the other Pool A teams including Crewe and Nantwich – who won the Plate in Burton – and Banbury.
London Eagles meanwhile face Nottingham, Round 1 finalists, St Albans, and Northampton, with Norwich pooled with Cambridge Wasps, Cheltenham Tigers and Liverpool Otters. Meanwhile Pool D could be very competitive viewing, with Oxford, Wigan, Warwick and Peterborough having achieved plenty of positive results so far this year.
We welcome Thames Valley Vikings, Bournemouth Touch Centre and Nomads back into the Development NTS after missing Round 2, while Canterbury come into the Series for the first time this year and Chester enter a second team for the first time.
The game’s first match taps off at 10am, with the Cup final at 5pm.
Everyone playing, refereeing, coaching or supporting at Banbury needs to read our advice for staying healthy in the heat this weekend, with highs of 31 degrees forecast by mid-afternoon.
