University NTS Round 1 South preview

The University National Touch Series moves to Oxford this Saturday for Round 1 South.

Exeter and Bath continued in their tradition of leading the way in the recent Men’s and Women’s social event, and both universities have entered multiple teams into the opening round of the Mixed Series.

Exeter and Bath have split the last few University NTS titles between them, and several alumni from both institutions are now familiar faces within England’s leading clubs and High Performance squads.

There will be Exeter-Bath clashes in three of the four pools during the morning, with other universities being represented including Cardiff, Southampton, Oxford Brookes, Bristol, Surrey, and home-city Oxford.

The 13 teams have been divided into four pools, three of three teams and one of four. The top two teams from each pool will go into the Cup, with the remaining five having a round-robin to decide the Bowl.

The first game taps off at 9am with the Cup final at 3:45pm.
