Remaining Development National Touch Series events cancelled

England Touch has today confirmed that the Development National Touch Series events scheduled for August and September have been cancelled.

The UK Government’s lockdown may be easing, but group exercise is still limited to six people with no contact allowed, and with no confirmed date as to when either full training will be resumed, let alone mass gatherings of several hundred people permitted, the England Touch management has decided to end the domestic club season with immediate effect.

Focus will now turn to a staged return-to-play, which will be announced shortly. This will give the step-by-step process from small group training, where we are at present, up to full national competition.

We understand any disappointment among players, clubs and referees, but hope that everyone in the Touch community can appreciate why this decision has been made.
