New appointments to Commercial team
England Touch has made two appointments to help grow the Association’s revenues to underpin future growth and development.
Chris Powell (Commercial Partnership Services and Sponsorship Manager; sponsorship@englandtouch.org.uk) will be working to maximise the commercial potential of England Touch through sponsorship, major events, marketing partners and broadcast partners.
He will be developing and delivering England Touch’s commercial strategy and help to contribute to England Touch’s strategic and operational priorities while supporting business development activities.
Chris joins England Touch with a wealth of experience in commercial partnerships across the charity, sport and tourism sectors, with time at London Symphony Orchestra, Dallaglio RugbyWorks and most recently moved to Welcome to Yorkshire as the Head of Strategic Partnerships.
Using this experience he is hoping to grow investment into England Touch, creating partnerships that will help grow the game.
Working with our Development Director, Adam Irvine (Funding Manager; funding.manager@englandtouch.org.uk) will be developing and implementing a range of income strategies including fundraising across trusts and foundations, statutory partners along with major donors and partners.
Adam has been a professional fundraiser for many years with experience in raising crucial funds for a wide variety of charities, schools and organisations on a localised and National level. A keen rugby player, Adam has played and volunteered for Aston Old Edwardians RFC for many years and continues to support the club at committee and captaincy levels.
With specialist experience in trusts and foundations, Adam has worked on developing capital ventures, raised money for core costs and community and organisation development projects. Examples include community asset transfers, development of an outdoor learning facility, developing a new rugby team amongst others. On a voluntary basis, Adam also represents the Wooden Spoon Charity within his local region.
