New Events Manager appointed for 2018
England Touch has announced that Zoe Malarkey will be the Association’s Events Manager in 2018.
A member of Nottingham Hoods, Zoe – who took up Touch four years ago – has been involved in organising tournaments and managing teams at club level. She is highly organised, thanks to her experience of involvement in contract negotiation and supplier performance management in her work for one of the world’s biggest rail manufacturers.
She will take the lead in organising all of the England Touch tournaments, including the new-look Mixed and single gender Elite competitions, an enhanced Development Touch Series, and the Touch Nationals later in the summer.
Zoe will also play an active role in helping organise the 2018 European Touch Championships in Nottingham.
“After recently having the honour of presenting Zoe with the ‘club member of the year award’ at Nottingham Touch clubs Awards Dinner, along with Zoe’s strong application, I'm excited to have her join the team and begin working with her to further drive our events to the next level,” commented Chief Operating Officer Gregg Cropper.
“Zoe’s background and contract negotiations and stakeholder management will be great assets for his role, especially when it comes to delivering the European Touch Championships in July in her home town.
“Zoe joins the team at an exciting time, as the new National Touch Series of events is being changed in format for 2018. We are looking forward to another big season!”
Details of the new National Touch Series events are currently being finalised, with further announcements anticipated for the end of January.
