New host venues for national Touch series
The England Touch Association is taking its national tournaments to new host venues throughout the 2017 season, including a first return to London for several years.
The Belief National Touch Series and SPORTTAPE Challenge Touch Series will both tap off at the Riverside Sports Complex in Nottingham on Saturday, May 6th.
This is one of three new venues for England Touch’s top two competitions, with the others being Cambridge RFC (May 20th) and East London RFC (July 29th), and the fourth leg in the Series at Coventry’s Ivor Preece Centre on June 10th.
The decision to hold one of the legs in London is in response to considerable amounts of feedback from participating clubs.
The Steeden Development Touch Series is also heading to new locations for its national tournaments, including Newbold and Avon RFC (May 13th), Northampton Casuals RFC (July 15th) and Canterbury RFC (August 5th), with a further location to be confirmed in Manchester (May 27th).
The Belief NTS, SPORTTAPE CTS and Steeden DTS will all reach their climax on Saturday, September 16th at Nottingham’s Riverside Sports Complex.
Finals Day will also give the people of Nottingham the chance to get a taste of Touch before the city hosts the 2018 European Touch Championships.
The Ryvita Touch Nationals will be held at One Leisure St Ives, Cambridgeshire, over the August Bank Holiday Weekend.
Meanwhile the 2017 MWTC is also heading to new locations at East London RFC (April 22nd), a venue to be confirmed in Manchester (June 3rd) and Gosford All Blacks RFC near Oxford (September 30th).
