New appointment
Louaz Hofton - Strategic Development Advisor
With over 15 years in the sport and health sector, Louaz has covered most roles in sport from Coach, right through to National Executive of a national governing body of sport. This breadth of experience is now being used to support England Touch in its next phase of development.
Following completion of a BA (Hons) in Sport and Health Recreation Management, Louaz started in local authority sports development in community sport, with a focus on regeneration areas in Manchester.
Louaz then became a School Sport Partnership Development Manager based in the education sector focussing on high quality physical education and establishing community club links to ultimately raise the physical activity level of students in over 100 schools. While in this role, Louaz became a qualified teacher (PGCE) and completed his Masters in community sports development, and with his established reputation in sport, was elected by the England Handball Association (EHA) as the Director of Development in 2006, where he grew the game with limited resources at grass roots to then exceeding Sport England’s participation targets in 2012.
Having Louaz join us, with his wealth of knowledge that covers local, regional and national levels in sport is a great asset to England Touch. Louaz will be working closely with Gregg Cropper, ETA President, and is looking forward to working with England Touch to develop its strategy for the future.
