2014 Touch Nationals & Open Trials

The England Touch Association are pleased to announce the 3^rd Annual Touch Nationals to be held in Cambridge on 6^th & 7^th of September 2014. The 2 Day tournament will be the biggest National Championships held by the ETA, with the following divisions competing;

Where: One Leisure St Ives, Califormia Road, St Ives, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, PE27 6SJ

Cost: Cost will be confirmed through your Regional Lead and Regional Coaches

Open Trial

When: 10am-2pm, 7th September 2014 (Registration will open from 9.00am)

Where: One Leisure St Ives, Westwood Road St Ives, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, PE27 6WU

Who: Open to both Men and Women who would like to trial for England Squad

Cost: £5pp (To be paid on the day)

As was seen at 2013 Mini Nationals, any player not playing at the 2014 Nationals as part of a regional franchise will still have the opportunity to trial for an England Squad at the 2014 Open Trial. The Open Trial will be for any player NOT playing in a regional franchise and also for those who were originally intending on playing in the Masters Division, which has unfortunately had to be cancelled this year.

The tournament will showcase the best players in England from each region and will be used as the selection pathway into the Open’s, Senior’s and Master’s squads for the 2015 Touch World Cup to be held in Coffs Harbour, Australia.

If you are unable to attend the 2014 Touch Nationals for any reason and would still like to be considered for National selection, please contact Ben@englantouch.org.uk to see if you may be eligible for an exemption request.

* Note: There is no U18s division in the TWC2015, however it's likely a European event will take place in 2015 to compete in. More information will be released as and when it's available.
