NTS 1 - Nottingham results and league table

Nottingham hosted the first round of the NTS on 12^th May with the rain subsiding for a day whilst the top 16 club teams descended on the new facilities at Gresham.

The new format proved to be a great success as everything seemed to run smoothly – even the weather.

After some tight pool matches, Galaxy, Scorpions, Tumeke and Durka progressed to the Cup semi’s with Galaxy beating Scorpions 5-4 in a closely fought final.

Cambridge took the Plate, beating The Raptors in the final, with Custard and Nottingham winning the Bowl and Shield competitions.

New for 2012, MVPs were awarded by teams for every game, with the winners trophies being collected by Gregg Cropper (Chargers) and Natasha Verniquet (Oxford). The referees were also not to miss out, with Nottingham’s Patrick Davies awarded the most improved referee of the day.
