Plans are afoot...

Post the 2011 Touch World Cup the High Performance function of England Touch has been under going a review and restructure.

The focus has been to look at what changes need to take place to help drive England Touch forward in the next few years. This reviews has included surveys sent out to all participants (coaches, players, managers, medical staff) that attended WC and discussions with players, coaches in England and overseas.

Whilst this review is not yet 100% complete, we can confirm that a new structure is going to be put in place around the national squad setup and there will be a greater focus on coach development. We are still waiting on a few surveys to come back in before we can conclude the new plans.

What we can confirm is that all coaching positions within the national setup are being considered open and will need to be applied for. All squads will be reselected and hence no players are guaranteed a position within any team. There will also be a new structure/process put in place for team selection. More information will be released shortly.
