The aim of England Touch is to develop the sport & ensure people get the most out of it.
In order to do this effectively there needs to be agreed and maintained rules, standards and principles of operation. With this in place England Touch can control and administer the game across the country. England Touch provide a range of activities and services for local venues, including referee training, coaching courses, insurance, website promotion and technical advice.
England Touch also organise national touch competitions, the N.T.S. (National Touch Series) & the S.T.S. (Social Touch Series) as well as administering regional and international representative side. Affiliation gives your teams and players access to all of these. As an individual player, at whatever level you play, there are opportunities to benefit from playing in affiliated leagues.
England Touch require members to play and operate according to F.I.T. rules and regulations, this uniformity is essential to the development of one, unified sport there are potentially many variations of touch that could exist, when you participate in an England Touch affiliated league or competition you know that they will be operating under F.I.T. rules and the sport will be the same. For your players it is crucial to know that the game you are playing is going to be the same product at every location and affiliation ensures this is the case.
Finally, and an important point to consider, is that by becoming a member of England Touch, you are England Touch. You have voting rights you can use to have your say in how England Touch is run and you can help progress the development of the sport. There are many opportunities to get involved in everything the England Touch does and to assist with the administration of the sport in England. England Touch is run on a entirely voluntary basis and all volunteers are touch players, organisers who want to develop the sport.
